Sunday Sweets #22 Super Slutty Brownies

You read that right, these are not just slutty brownies, these are super slutty brownies!  I'm sure you already know what makes up a slutty brownie, a layer of cookie dough, followed by a layer of oreo biscuits all topped off with brownie mix.  What could possibly make them more indulgent than they already are? The addition of salted caramel and some rolos of course!  So rich and yummy, best served slightly heated with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to help break through all that chocolate.

You will need:

1 batch cookie dough - recipe here (you will need half this amount)
1 packet of oreos
3 packets of rolos
Salted Caramel Sauce (I used a tin of carnation caramel and added sea salt flakes)
1 batch brownie mix - recipe here (you will need half this amount)

If you're a bit of a lazy baker you could buy a packet mix for both the cookies and brownies, I couldn't bake any other brownie recipe though, the one above is worth doing from scratch!

Prepare both the dough and the brownie mix ready and then start the fun part - the layering!  I greased and lined a 9" square loose bottom cake tin.

Preheat the oven to 180C / Fan 160C / Gas 4.

Press the cookie dough evenly into the base of your tin

Add a layer of oreos, I wasn't sure if I would like them so I used a packet and kept them slightly spaced out, if you know you love them then cram them in so you get a lovely oreo layer.  I did like them by the way, they don't taste like oreos when used in this recipe, the biscuit becomes a rich chocolate sponge.
Add rolos inbetween the oreos (if you have packed the oreos in wait til after adding the caramel sauce before adding the rolos)

Add a layer of salted caramel sauce and top each cookie with a rolo, just because.  Save some of the salted caramel for the topping

Add your brownie mix on top then bake in your preheated oven for 35-40 minutes.  You most likely won't ever get a clean skewer with this recipe, it's meant to be gooey.  Gently shake the tin, if the brownie mix wobbles it needs cooking for longer.

Allow to cool in the tin before transferring onto a wire rack.  Drizzle your remaining salted caramel over the top and finish with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes.

You could eat it straight out of the oven, be warned if you do it is very messy! The inside is pretty gooey because of the caramel and chocolate.  It's best to leave it to cool, cut it into portions and then give it a quick blast in the microwave to serve
