Made By Me #89

I've got a spooky little make to share today.  With just under two weeks til Halloween there is still plenty of time to sort out a costume or a little nod towards Halloween like this Emery dress.  I really don't like proper fancy dress but I do like to wear themed actual dresses and now I can make them myself it's so easy!  Oh and this fabric GLOWS IN THE DARK! Elephant In My Handbag provided this ace fabric to make the dress and unfortunately it sold out yesterday but you can still get glow in the dark ghosts, spiders and two different type of skull fabrics.  I went for skulls so it is something I can wear all year round and am already thinking of bats or spiders for next year.

I am hoping we actually get some trick or treaters this year.  Last year saw me turn our hall light then turn on the outside light and then leave the witches cauldron filled with sweets on the doorstep and we still didn't get any takers!  I was very disappointed!!  Plus it meant I had to eat all the sweets myself.  Maybe it wasn't all bad.  I think I might need to get a pumpkin to put on the doorstep but at least I will have my little nephew come round this year.  Are you doing anything for Halloween?  I'm wondering if people only usually dress up if they have an actual party to go to or it you get into the spirit by wearing something spooky too?

Don't forget you can save 10% at Elephant In My Handbag using code 'milliondresses'.

It's that time of year that the wind starts to pick up and makes for really annoying outfit taking sessions.  Gray almost ends up taking photos of my pants as the wind decides it fancies to blow my skirt around my ears.  Oh fun :(

  2. I love holiday themed makes for Oct, Nov. AND Dec. This is subtle, so you can wear it often, but I love having a several Halloween dresses for all the Halloween stuff that goes on, even though I don't want to wear a costume.
