Made By Me #16

This is the second of my Catnap dresses and one of many yellow dresses I have made/am planning to make!  I decided that the cute bow-like design would make a good substitute for the yellow gingham I am still hunting for.  I have bought some 1/2" yellow gingham recently which is close-ish to what I was looking for and will do if that's all I can get.  No more yellow fabric now though, tell me off if you catch me adding any to my basket.  You'll see what I mean when as I share more dresses, I have been very drawn to it especially when combined with grey.  I have lost a few hours to online fabric browsing this week, there is so much choice it is easy to get overwhelmed.  I did plan to include my favourite fabric stores with this post but just haven't had the time, hopefully next week if I can tear myself away from the sewing machine!  I had a couple of hours to sew last night so dress 28 is well on it's way and it is a cracker.  Watching it come together and wanting to wear it is a great motivator to crack on and get it made.

  1. Love love love love love this sunny number! I can't get enough of yellow at the moment, but I can't get away with it with my pasty complexion, so making do with flowers and accessories at the moment! :) xx

  2. I love this yellow print and yellow and grey together are always a winning combination - I know that one of my PA orders is going to be here today, I'm tempted to pop to the sewing shop and buy one ludicrously expensive zip so that I can finish the zoo print and crack on with the new stuff!

  3. This dress is so lovely! I just made myself a black and white gingham smock dress too, it's so rewarding to wear it afterwards! x
