Sunshine Yellow

I wasn't joking when I said I had caught the yellow bug this year, thankfully there is loads of choice around so I am not frantically searching finding nothing like last year.  I almost went for the blue version of this dress as I thought the yellow was a bit too bright but I am so glad I didn't, it's the perfect sunshine yellow.  I adore the full skirt and the polka dots but am not keen on how easily it creases, I should have taken these photos at the start of the day rather than after I had been sitting around in it.  I was going to play it safe and go with my white M&S shoes but they were downstairs so I popped these ones on whilst I had chance to look in the mirror and decided I liked the end result.  I might try it with my cobalt cardi next time too, not sure if that would be too much but I wanna see!

I can't wait to wear this when the sun is actually shining and when I can switch up for a thinner cardi and a pair of cute wedges.  It's the perfect feel good dress, nipping in nicely at the waist and ending with a beautifully full skirt.  I wasn't sure about the pleating along the neckline at first but I guess at least that means it doesn't gape.

Dress: Boden
Cardigan: Monsoon
Shoes: Clarks

Have a sunny week!

    1. Yep there are lots of colours available, I found it hard to choose between the yello wnad the blue! I was getting a bit worried about that tbh, not sure who I will be blogging for in future. Fashion bloggers want to see stuff they can buy and I doubt sewing bloggers will be interested in seeing the same dress in a zillion fabrics :-/

    1. Thank you :) It's a colour I didn't think worked on me when I was blonde so it took a while to come round to but now I love it!

  7. Gorgeous dress! And personally I really like the pleating at the neckline - it's a nice change and kind of reminds me of the 50s :) x
