Umbrella

Unfortunately I am weather appropriate today.  Enough of the wind and rain now please, think I preferred the snow we had last year!  I didn't ever think I would utter those words.  Do you know how hard it is to get outfit photos in the wind?!  The shed is in the corner of our garden next to the house so you would think it is fairly sheltered but nope the wind thinks it's fun to whip through and get my hem to touch my shoulders!   Not fun when the only opportunity you have to take photos at the weekend and it is currently either raining/windy or dark.  I'm ready for you, Spring.

I picked up this Emily and Fin Lucy dress in the fab Aspire sale earlier in the year after lusting after it for months.  I love teal but don't actually own much for some reason, I always seem to end up going for blue.  It is surprising how many blue dresses I have when it's really not a colour I think I like that much.  Obviously I am wrong!  I bought some fab purple fabric at the weekend, now that is a colour I adore but hardly ever wear cos no one ever makes great dresses in purple.

I teamed the dress with black which I think makes the cute little umbrellas stand out even more.  The bows on the little black pumps from Ugg Australia add even more cutesy which is exactly the look I usually go for.  I can't often wear flats as I find them so uncomfortable under foot, these Uggs thankfully break that rule and are sooooo comfy.  The sole is so soft and the sheepskin lining at the heel is a lovely touch which makes it feel like you've forgotten to change out of your slippers.  Perfect.  Ugg Creative Council have come up with some gems this season, you can see them here.  I love the Lucianna wedges by Natalie Hartley which are coming soon.

Dress: Emily & Fin
Cardigan: Primark
Shoes: Ugg Australia*

I am starting dress number 4 tonight and I cannot wait, love my new obsession!!

  2. I'm just getting fed up of the floods rising, since I got home last night the garden is now filling up with water, a couple of cars will need to be waded out to by the looks of things. Even less space to park - ugh.

  3. I love this dress - is it a current one or a past staple? Did you see last season's Great Plains skirt with umbrellas on it? It was aptly called 'Let it rain'! If you do find a snowflake dress let me know.

  6. That dress is so cute and I can't believe those cute flats are Uggs!! I'm up to my ears (not literally) in snow, but that's a typical Canadian winter. I'm getting ready for Spring. I'm tired of endless layers!
