Gingham Glory

Another Friday post with me exclaiming how happy I am that the weekend is finally here!  This week has felt twice as long as it should have been and I am so tired.  BUT I have made two dresses so far this week bringing my total to 7, every cloud and all that.  What have you got planned for the weekend?  We have yet to make firm plans other than it will involve as much sleeping as possible!

I am getting excited for all the gingham this summer and whilst it may still be too wintery to get my pastels on I thought it was about time I went mono and whipped out this black and white 50's tie front shirt.  I have teamed it with this fab black skirt from French Connection.  It is a lovely weight and hangs really well, another wardrobe staple check box filled.  It also comes in an amazing yellow colour which was unfortunately out of stock when I got the black one, think I am going to need that one too - the yellow obsession continues.

I need to decide what to do with my hair, do I continue growing it or do I have it cut a bit shorter?  My hair is too straight to hold any curl and whilst I have a lot of hair it is really fine so the longer it gets the flatter it gets.  Oh how I dream of having big hair!  I am liking it more than I thought I would, last time I grew it (years ago!) I hated it and went for a super short crop in rebellion.

Gingham has a real 50's feel to me so the 50's style tie front shirt is the perfect match!

  1. It makes me feel a bit sad lately when I seem to write "thank goodness it's the weekend!" every week, but I'm feeling the tiredness too.
Lovely skirt, shame you couldn't get the yellow - maybe it will be back in stock soon.

  2. Absolutely love gingham and it looks great with that skirt!

  3. love how full this skirt is, looks lovely on you xx

I love comments, thank you xx
