I guess in a way I am wearing my heart on my sleeve with this cute little Modcloth number, I am most definitely having my cake and eating it. Oh dear, it's late and I am tired. This really is the most summery of dresses but I couldn't wait that long to swish around in it plus I quite like the contrast of the lovely summer colours with black. Yummy looking cakes and pies on a baby blue polka dot background, what's not to love. The cotton is lovely and thick and hangs really well with minimum creasing. The little buttons are a bit fiddly for my acrylics but it's so worth the few extra minutes it takes me to do it up. It's got quite a strange fastening system, the skirt of the dress has a little zip and popper system going on which is hidden by a fabric pleat but eliminates any gaping around the waist and the little buttons also mean no gaping around the bust. I like dresses to fit closely but hate any gaping, Modcloth seem to have gotten the design just right with this one. I haven't needed to add poppers or stitch in between any buttons for a change.
This dress needs to be worn whilst baking something as equally scrummy I think!
I'm off to the #accessallasos swap shop tomorrow which I am very excited about. I love the idea of swishing your clothes and ending up with something new but haven't had the opportunity before. Can't wait to have a sneak at the asos head office either, too cool! I've been doing a bit of sales shopping this week, I have had a charity shop clear out this week to make way for some new pretties!
Have a lovely weekend whatever your plans. Anyone for a slice of pie?!
