Playful Polka

Oh my! I am so totally and utterly in love with this dress.  A big thank you to the enablers that are Gemma and Maria for making me buy it! haha.  It makes me feel like a 50's starlet and has had so many compliments.  I have already worn it a couple of times and as soon as I put it on I get the urge to twirl around.  The quality is lovely and the fabric feels and looks expensive.  I am totally converted on this 'buy expensive classics but buy them cheap' direction I have taken recently.   It's going to be hard for me to resist the compulsion to buy multiple cheap dresses rather than wait for the perfect one but I am going to give it a good shot.

I personally love red with black so have teamed the dress with a little black cardigan and my favourite black courts. What colour would you team with this dress?  Although I guess I made a safe choice with this colour combo I am trying to be braver with colour and colour combinations.  I am also trying not to be so matchy matchy but am not sure if this is something I will ever be able to move away from.  I just cannot help it!

Cardigan: M&S (old)
Court Shoes: Clarks @ Spartoo Shoes*

I also managed to pick up another red Jaeger Boutique dress in the asos sale for a whole £24, what a bargain!!  My Antipodium dress has arrived and it is love.  It is honestly so beautiful, can't wait to share it with you guys.

Love them or hate them adverts have become part of our daily life.  Annoying when the television programme you are watching is interrupted every 15 minutes and even more annoying when they pop up whilst browsing online and start shouting at you without your say so... but some adverts are fab and make sitting through the annoying ones worthwhile.  I know everyone goes crazy on twitter when the Coke ad campaign starts at Christmas!  Recently this one by Visa has touched my heart, I just love the idea behind it and the old man is so cute.

What's your favourite ad?

  2. You look wonderful, the whole outfit really suits you. As for a different colour combination, I have difficulty thinking outside the box too. Black is safe but also the best in my mind. The only other colour I would dare to try would be a royal blue maybe (and possibly yellow if I was being particularly brave!).

  4. I love that dress! It really is so flattering, not to mention, in my opinion, you can't go wrong in polka dots. I've been filling my closet with similar dresses, I just think they're so comfy. I love browsing what others are wearing and then going to dress stores to see if anything catches my eye.
