Lifes Little Tests

I have never felt more stressed in my life than I do right now.  Our house sale/purchase has been absolutely crazy and coupled with little annoyances like our internet being cut off I just cannot see the end to all this stress.  The goal posts keep getting moved and we feel like we have reached breaking point with it all.  I knew it was going to be bad I just had no idea how bad...

As a result Gray and I have been huddled round my iPad (I knew I got the 3G version for a reason!) looking at cheap holidays to try and ease the pain and give us something to look forward to.  I need a week with the sun on my face and losing myself in a good book whilst sipping a tasty cocktail.  A week somewhere beautiful to forget all the stresses back home.  I've been dreaming of this since I wrote this post back in February, now I need to take some action!

After reading Rosie's post I too have been checking out the deals on Latedeals.co.uk and getting a bit of inspiration from their Pinterest boards.  I have followed the Latedeals.co.uk twitter account and liked their facebook page all in the hope of finding either an amazing deal and some inspiration.  We don't know where we want to go other than we want somewhere warm and it needs to be cheap so I am asking for your help, where have you been that was well priced but beautiful?  I don't want to end up somewhere that needs a good clean or with terrible food.  We usually go for city breaks which are not what we are looking for this time, our only requirements are that we go somewhere warm, cheap and relaxing.  We have found deals that look great from only £210 a person and have spent an age looking through reviews but are no further forward.  Help a girl out!

  2. Sarah, Try Thomson Kassandra Bay Hotel Kriopigi in Greece - £262 each flying next Monday half board, flights from Gatwick and transfers. it's a small family run hotel - clean, good simple food, nice pool. Beach about 10 minutes walk. Going back with my 23 year old daughter in June for the third time. Place is very quiet but depends what you want.

  3. Me and the boyf went to Llafranc in the Costa Brava last September, and including flights it was about £450 per person for a week. It was beautiful, so quiet, and I ate so much sea food I could've popped! Not sure where the deal was from, but if you search for the place you should be able to find it. Hope you feel calmer soon!

  4. There's nothing like a sunshine break that is genuinely that good for the soul. Apart from chocolate. But sunshine is better. For cheap & cheerful, I don't think there's anything that rivals the Canary Islands at any time of year for the weather. Also the flight time isn't long so you don't feel like you're losing so much of your holiday time to travelling. I've heard (& seen photos) that Malta is a bit stunning too. But on personal recommendations I'd say Santorini - a not-so-visited Greek island. I went here in 2009 & it is abso-fricking-lutely stunning. I think pretty much any Greek island would suffice. Check them out!

  5. Turkey will give you some heat & is nice, but only thing is how fussy you are about good as its good food but can often be similiar stuff & not much variety. But your guaranteed to get some heat.

  6. Bless you, that sounds so stressful :( Nothing better than a lovely holiday somewhere hot just to forget about everything for a week or so! I'm not sure what your budget is, but Greece is pretty cheap I think (I went to Corfu a few years ago and it was lovely - great weather every day and good food, even for a veggie like myself!) and the past two Summer holidays I've had were Portugal and Cyprus (Protaras - gorgeous place, and quiet too - but just a little way up from Ayia Napa, if you want a little nightlife as well). Cyprus is quite pricey, but we managed to get a decent deal, and Portugal's not too bad price-wise either! Sorry, I've probably not been too much help - but I've loved these places and can definitely recommend going. Hope you find a good deal! xx

  8. holiday pirates is AMAZING for cheap deals, although not great for all inclusive beach lay about types. I love the stress of moving, but then I hate staying in one place for too long! x
