House Inspiration - Kitchen

I still have everything crossed as we progress through the house sale/purchase process but cannot help myself from starting a bit of planning (okay I may have bought one or two things too!) The kitchen is the most important room for me, I have always had an idea of how I want it to look and whilst it won't have the island I always dreamed of it is a pretty amazing kitchen/diner.  Think all white gloss units with currently lilac walls and a Juliet balcony providing lots of light.  Sigh.

My dream kitchen is white with mixed pastels and obviously would match my Kitchenaid!  I am aiming for cutesy without being childish and eventually want a baby pink Smeg to finish it off.  I've been busy pinning images to my secret kitchen board which are proving fab for inspiration.

I have been searching everywhere for some pastel pink (or to be honest any pastel colour ) saucepans to no avail.  I used to look longingly at them in TK Maxx but it failed me when I visited last weekend.   I have managed to find a beautiful baby blue grill pan so have to find saucepans to co-ordinate too, who wants boring silver in a kitchen so pretty?!  Have you seen any lurking around anywhere? (Not eBay please :) )

I am, however, turning to eBay for curtain fabric.  The bargains you can get are honestly amazing.  I found a fabric I liked priced at £17 a metre and managed to pick it up on eBay for £8.50 a metre!  I also got a quote to have two pairs of curtains made in this fabric which came out at £515... for two pairs of curtains!! Luckily for me my Mum is an ex seamstress so I am going to get her busy making our curtains.  I have found some fabric for the full length window in the kitchen/diner on eBay though I haven't ordered it yet, what do you think?  I think it's the perfect mix of cute and grown up!

  1. I'm exactly the same as you. Me and my boyfriend are saving for a house but I've already started buying things for the kitchen. Have you looked at dotcomgiftshop? They have lots of cute bits

  3. I love all of these things. That fabric is perfect. I'm now wondering if I could somehow make it into a blind for my kitchen, but it might be beyond by capabilities! It would be perfect though! x
