Wednesday Wants

This weeks wishlist is Bestival inspired!!  As I mentioned in my previous Bestival post I am going with a group of bloggers as a guest of Echo Falls as part of their Take A Moment campaign.  The Take A Moment campaign is all about people having spontaneous fun moments with friends and I strongly advise you to keep an eye on their facebook page this week if you fancy winning tickets ;)  So, so excited!

I have decided not to get the kigu and dress as a giraffe for the fancy dress (£40 would get me a new dress, damn it!) I am just going to rock a few ear headbands and lots of animal print!  With this in mind and the fact that I do not wear trousers/shorts ever I will be rocking a few animal print dresses and skirts and would love to add the following to my holdall...

 Dress: River Island

 Dress: Glamorous

Jumper: asos

 Bag: asos

Wellington Boots: Hunter

The weather forecast looks pretty good for that weekend right now so I might not need a pair of wellies but you never know plus I don't want to ruin any of my shoes if it does get all muddy.  I have a pair of green short hunters thanks to Witch Skincare and love the gloss finish on this Spartoo pair.  Green really is the classic colour and they look great with my River Island jacket.  I've been told it gets pretty cold in the evenings so I am taking jumpers and a hoodie to keep me toasty.  Just hope it's not too hot in the day, can't bear waking up in a hot tent.  Did I mention I hate camping?!  An advance sorry to Gem if I moan about that... haha

Please let me know what items I absolutely must take with me to a festival.  I've got bin bags, packs of tissues, wet wipes and hand sanitizer on my list already.

  1. I love the river island dress. I bet you will have an amazing time i'm so jel! Festival advice would be - dont knid your self that you are going to be bothered to get changed in to a million outfits....it's (in my experiance) always too cold. 1 a day is fine. Take lots of warm things. Dont pack too much carrying it is awful.
This advice might be rubbish tbh i think i'm just cold and weak all the time lol HAve fun xxx

    1. I'm only gonna take one outfit a day, I know I defo won't wanna go get changed. Too much hassle! I have a jumper and hoodie ready for the evenings too, I hate being cold almost as much as I hate being too hot! xx

  2. Sarah, don't worry about moaning. We will drink a lot of wine and forget all about the cold. I'm all prepared for camping after a weekend in Reading. Emergency blankets from poundland were a life saver!! and I'm glad I took my swimming costume to wear in the shower
    xx

    1. I have ordered one of those blankets and a sleeping bag shaped one from eBay so fingers crossed they come in time, I forgot to look when I went to poundland at the weekend & my nearest one is 20odd miles away. Will pack painkillers so I don't moan about the hangover either... although I have heard you don't get hangovers in tents??

  3. I'm goin to Bestival as well! I went last year and forgot to take tights. I froze. So they're a must!

And toilet paper! You definitely want to take extra toilet paper and an industrial sized bottle of water so that you can brush your teeth by your tent instead of trekking to the trouhs where queues are a mile long. Erm, don't camp by the toilets either, some people I know did that last year and they smlt horrendous. xx

    1. Oooh exciting! I am hoping to wear tights or leggings anyway, hope it's not too hot that I can't :)

I wouldn't dream of camping near the toilets, who would think that would be a good idea?! haha

  4. You're much more organised than me - I've only bought baby wipes and a mini gas stove (Char and I will be bankrupt if we have to buy coffee all weekend).

I'm with Gem though - drink enough wine and you won't have anything to moan about :D

  5. Whatever you do, don't wear a playsuit, they're so hard to get out of in a portaloo! Wellies are good even if it's sunny as there's usually so much rubbish around you can just stomp through it without worrying about your shoes.

Shameless plug - I did I blog post with festival tips last year: http://thestonesinsidemyshoes.blogspot.co.uk/2011/07/8-things-i-learnt-from-glastonbury.html

I'm jealous that you're going to Bestival, I've always wanted to do that one. Maybe next year. x
