TFNC Wishlist

The lovely Emma showed me her latest purchase on twitter on Saturday and I knew that it had to be mine!  Whilst browsing the TFNC website I came across loads of gorgeous dresses that are now on my wishlist:

I want them all but I really, really want the leopard print one. On checking the website they only have it in a small or medium (8-10 or 10-12) and I would need a large, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they make it in a large and are just out of stock.  It needs to be mine!

Half Moon Nail Tutorial

Thanks to Stephanie  I managed to find some manicure stickers so I could have a go and creating some half moon nails.  I decided on Models Own Gold Rush for the moons and Black Magic for the rest of the nail.

Nailene Perfect Tips nail stickers Models Own Black Magic & Gold Rush

Firstly I roughly painted the 'moon' area of my nails using Gold Rush.  I did a couple of coats to get good coverage.

I stuck the nail stickers over Gold Rush to protect it and provide a clean line for painting Black Magic over the rest of my nail

After two coats they looked like this

When dry I peeled off the stickers and added a topcoat

Voila!

I really like the idea of these but would like them to be more curved which the nail tip stickers cannot do.  I am going to get some of the ring binder reinforcers and give those a go to see if they can create the curve I am looking for.  I am defo going to use these stickers to create some leopard tips soon!

I have been feeling terrible all day so am currently snuggled up on the sofa watching The Fresh Prince and keeping warm in this cosy New Look cardigan:

Cardigan: New Look

Although I adore this cardigan it is no where near as versatile as this one which goes with almost everything.  I have only managed to team this one with black dresses so far as its's such a strong colour.  I would really like one of these in navy and another in black if you fancy making them please New Look?!

Daisy Chain

I'm a bit fed up today :(  I am waiting in for a parcel to be delivered by Parcel Force for the second day running.  I was off work yesterday as we were having some tiles laid so I arranged for a parcel to be delivered at home instead of work. Bad move.  It didn't arrive and Parcel Force said its because they had a new driver on who didn't know the route (surely 'the route' changes daily depending on who is receiving parcels?!) anyway they promised that it would be here first thing and it still hasn't arrived, I am not happy!  It's also raining which has scuppered my plans for when I eventually get to leave the house. Blah.  On the plus side I don't need to do any cleaning or washing this weekend as I spent all of yesterday working on getting a sparkly flat.  Very satisfying.

Dress: Primark
Cardigan: asos

I picked up this Primark bargain a few weeks ago whilst hunting for this cream dress.  Haven't managed to find that dress yet but did pick up a few other lovely ones.  I love the little daisy chain print on this one, very cute.

Hope you're all having a lovely day and not stuck in the house like me.  When I do eventually get out I am going to go have coffee and cake somewhere with the boyf and have a little walk around the shops, I love lazy Saturdays :)

Rainbow Bright

Good Morning! It's FRIDAY!! Yay :)  Hope you've all had a good week and are ready for the weekend.  I cannot wait.  Another day another batch of nail art.  I find it really relaxing just a shame it smells so much.  The leopard nails I did on Wednesday started to peel so off they came (whole, result!) leaving me with a fresh canvas.  I picked up Models Own Snow White yesterday so I could do these nails.  I bought Pearly Queen for this reason but it's just not opaque enough to work.  All Models Own products are now 3 for the price of 2 in Boots by the way so grab a bargain now.

Nail Art Pen in Black, Snow White, Sophie's Pink, Lemon Meringue, Lilac Dream, Top Turquoise, Fuzzy Peach

I really love these nails, think they might be my favourite yet.  Leopard print really is easy to do, honestly!  Give it a go but I really do recommend you get a Models Own Nail Art pen rather than the crappy cheap ones on eBay - they really do make that much difference.  The polish is really opaque and easy to apply.  You can't get the pens in Boots yet but you can get them on the Models Own website and asos have just started selling the black one.

Today I am wearing my favourite Dahlia dress again.  It is definitely my favourite, I've decided!  It just makes me feel so good when I wear it.  I love the contrast of the white with the black lining and think that white dresses look ace with opaque black tights.  It also doesn't detract from the nails, it's all about the nails today.

(oh hi! man hands...)

I just want to finish by saying this again, if you follow me on twitter and I am not following you please shout hello at me!  I have followed a few more of you lovely people in the last couple of days and love chatting to you all, it's so much more personal over on twitter :)

Nude Pastels

I really have caught the nail art bug again and can't resist changing them frequently.  I do however need to stop peeling the old polish off - bad Sarah! This is what made my nails flake in the first place :( It's just SO satisfying. MUST STOP CAN'T STOP

I created these nails using - Models Own Nail Art Pen in Black, Nude Beige, Jade Stone, Fuzzy Peach and Lilac Dream

I love this polish!

I keep coming back to leopard nails they are just so quick and easy and little mistakes make them look better.  I need to check out the old interweb for some inspiration and get practising.  I would quite like to try some half moon styles, anyone know where I can get the nail stickers from? I don't think they would look as good free hand and eBay hasn't been fruitful.

Sail Away

I picked up this little gem in Topshop on Monday and couldn't wait to wear it, isn't the print just ace!  It felt like it was practically free as I had a few pairs of tights to return.  I love it when that happens :) Another reasonably priced dress from Topshop - they are on a roll!

Dress: Topshop

I'm trying to show you my matching nails but you can't see the peach spots :(

Models Own Top Turquoise and Fuzzy Peach

Can you hit me up with some blog recommendations please guys.  I like blogs that feature high street clothes on normal girls and obvz bloggers that wear mostly dresses float my boat.  I also like blogs that also feature baking, crafty stuff and people homes because I am nosy :)

Coral Pop!

I've got a consultation to decide on the best way to remove my wisdom teeth today, wish me luck :(  I am currently swaying towards waiting until funding is available again in April and having it done in hospital so they can just knock me out.  I have had a tooth out at a dental surgery before and it was not a pleasant experience, my lovely old dentist said it was the worse extraction he has ever had to do. It was almost bordering on a comedy sketch with my dentist practically on my lap trying to remove the damn thing.  My mouth doesn't open that wide it's going to be awful just trying to get to my wisdom teeth in the first place :(  Needless to say I am a bag of nerves so put this gorgeous dress on to cheer me up:

Dress: Topshop

Isn't the colour just gorgeous?!  I am wearing Models Own Jade Stone and love the colours together.  The bodice and the skirt are actually the same colour in real life but the textures have made them appear slightly different.  The bodice is lace whilst the skirt is chiffon, the pleats make me happy!  I wish the underskirt was a bit longer though but I don't think this is that noticeable when I am wearing it.

I'm still toying with ordering the stripy Closet dresses that I posted earlier this month.  The only thing that is putting me off is the sizing and having to return them by post, that's just annoying!  Dorothy Perkins are currently offering 20% off all items using DPVIPD, valid til Sunday 27th so I am tempted...

What are you currently coveting?

Déjà Vu

 Dress: Peacocks

I saw Gemma wearing this dress on her blog the other day and knew that I needed to own it!  It's so pretty and very much like a couple of the Dahlia dresses I own but a snip at only £22.  It is longer than the Dahlia dresses and goes up to a size 20.  It could do with being lined as it sticks to my tights when walking but thats nothing a little slip wont solve.  The print is super cute too, well done Peacocks! (PS if you fancy making this in a variety of fabrics I am certain to buy all versions...)

I've been playing with the nail polishes again and this is the result, the photo was taken before I tidied it up - sorry!

...And Relax!

How's your Sunday going?  Hope it's filled with lots of relaxation and fab food, mine certainly is!  My parents have been round for lunch and we are now all chilling out in front of the tv.  Perfect.

I didn't manage to find that dress yesterday but I have now found out that Fred & Florence Limited Editions are available exclusively online so I can stop hunting and just wait for it to show up online.  I'm glad that I am not the only weirdo by the way, it seems that a fair few of us feel awkward walking past a rail full of the dress that you're wearing!

Have you seen the fab Pen Pal Exchange that the lovely Gemma at Fat Frocks has come up with? Head over to her blog to check it out and if you're interested you need to comment by 28th February to be included.  My handwriting is appalling so I will probably rely on including pretty things such as necklaces to make mine interesting!

Dress: Topshop

I have been eyeing this little beauty up online for the past couple of days but managed to find it instore yesterday so snapped it up.  I love the colours and the fact that it was only £29!  I think Topshop have been listening to shoppers moaning about their prices as I have found a few really lovely dresses in there recently for under £35.

I found out the other day that a really dear friend of mine reads my blog daily and that it has been brightening her day.  She is going through a really tough time at the moment and I just want to tell her that she means the world to me.  You've been an amazing friend over the years, you've listened to me go on and on, changed my life in a way I can never repay and I love you lots.  I am always here for you and will support you 100% whatever you do decide.  Friends like you don't come around often and I only hope I am half the friend you are.  Can't wait to see you in the week xx

I have had a fair few new followers on Twitter recently, if you follow me but I don't follow you back please @amilliondresses and let me know who you are.  I get followed by so many porn and diet spambots that I find it hard to keep up with who is who!  And if you don't follow me and would like to you can find me here - twitter. I don't really post that much but I do like to comment on other peoples tweets :)

Gorgeously Girly

I didn't really think this outfit thru... I am heading over to a massive Tesco in search of the elusive purple dress and I am wearing this little Florence and Fred number whilst doing so.  Am I the only one who feels silly going into a store wearing their clothes?!  I guess the fact that this dress is an online exclusive means I won't have to walk past a whole rail of them hanging their taunting me.  This dress is so gorgeously girly, the perfect shade of pink with cute little bow details. Very pretty!

Just look at the cute little bows!

I'm so glad it's Saturday.  I've had too many headaches this week and have been feeling very sorry for myself so today I have had a lie in and am going to spend the rest of the afternoon shopping and I need to take back yesterdays keep or return dress.  Hope you're all having a relaxing weekend (and sorry to those that are working!) Keep your fingers crossed that I manage to find the Tesco dress :)

Keep Or Return?

Another keep or return for you to help me with please lovelies.  I haven't actually ended up keeping any of the previous items, guess just writing the post helps with my decision making!  I am torn with this one.  I love the idea of it and loved it in the changing room but now I have got it home I'm very meh about it :(  I think that its just too bulky for me.  Maybe if it was in a lighter fabric then the volume of fabric would work on my body? I'm just not sure its flattering.

Oh and the boyfriend HATES it, he hates anything this shade of denim apparently.  He told me this about six months after we met (he waited until I had stopped wearing my favourite Warehouse denim skirt before telling me that he really didn't like it.  I had worn it most evenings as it was both comfy and flattering for chilling out in...)

What do you think?  I really like the panels around the bust and the shape of the sleeves but I just don't think it works on me in such a heavy fabric, River Island can you please make me the same style dress in a nice floaty chiffon or light cotton please? Ta!

I've just linked the dress on the RI website and found that it's just gone in the sale and is half price... either way it's going back but do I buy it again at sale price?!

Oh and a little heads up for those of you who loved my techno granny dress I have found it on the River Island website and its now £15 in the sale.  Strangely the website has it down as originally being £34.99 but mine was definitely not in the sale and priced as £19.99... BUT £15 IS AMAZING!!

Cupcake Cutie!

Two posts in one day, I'm spoiling you!  Actually I just couldn't wait til tomorrow to share my latest nail art with you, so proud, haha.  Although I can bake and am crafty I cannot paint or draw to save my life so nail art is not something that comes easily - especially when it comes to painting my right hand!  I was eavesdropping on a twitter convo between Charlene and Gem last night and saw this amazing eiffel tower nail art, isn't it just adorable?! I knew I wanted to give it a go and have also been dying to try out some cupcake nail art and Charlene's little hearts so I decided to just go for it and try them all out at the same time.  I am suffering from a Models Own fume induced headache as I type this...

Models Own Nail Pens in White & Black and Polishes in Pearly Queen, Juicy Jules & Sophie's Pink

I used the pearly queen over the white nail pen so that the tips look more like icing and not like I have had an accident with a bottle of tippex.  Thank you for the inspiration girls ♥
