*I want to state now that I have purchased all of the prizes myself, nothing has been donated and I am not affiliated with any of the brands in anyway at all except I love their products*

Prize one - Jewellery handmade by me.  I don't think that I have mentioned here that I used to sell jewellery on eBay, well I did and I got bored of it but I still have A LOT of stock left so I thought I would make 15 necklaces using various vintage and a couple of new charms.  I hope you like them.

Can you spot the one non-vintage charm necklace?!

Prize two - Live, Love, Dance, Sing bangles from Pretabortbello.com.  I blogged about these and ordered myself a set but they are too small for my man hands.  I can't be bothered to return them so my loss is your gain.

Flapjacks and dresses...

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend, it's a shame Monday always comes round so quick.  I spent most of the weekend baking so had a great one!  Yesterday my boyfriend asked me to make him some flapjacks and as he did the washing up I couldn't say no!  Flapjacks are really easy to make but so yummy.  I wanted nice thick flapjacks and as the boyf is going to take them into work I needed to make a decent number so I doubled the below recipe...

Ingredients
175g butter
175g golden syrup
175g dark brown soft sugar
350g oats

Dissolve the butter, sugar and golden syrup in a pan

Take off the heat and stir in the oats

push into a parchment lined tray and bake for 40 minutes at 150°C

I decided that I wanted to cover them in chocolate so when fully cooled I cut them up and spread melted milk chocolate over the top, yummy!

Who wants to put the kettle on?

I spied this little beauty on the topshop earlier, isn't it just darling!

It's that gorgeous that I popped over to Rare's website to see what else they have to offer and I wasn't disappointed...

I made another trip to Primark yesterday in search of this dress:

I have seen them on eBay for £37! Who would pay that?!  It turns out it's only going to be available in larger Primarks but having seen the skirt version I have decided that I don't want it anymore anyway!  The print isn't as nice in real life and I think I have spoiled it by getting this gorgeous New Look dress first.  What are you lusting after right now?

What's new pussycat?

Dress: Shikha London (via Outfit)
Cardigan: New Look
Tights: Tabio
Belt: Warehouse

close up of the cute little kittens!

I spotted this dress in Outfit the other day but know nothing about the brand and googling has left me none the wiser!  It's by Shikha London and was only £30.00.  It's such a nice cut and I love the length.  It's a lovely soft cotton that doesn't seem to crease easily.  Creases are my bugbear.  I am wearing navy 110 denier tights from tabio, they are the only brand I have found that sell real navy tights.  I don't want dark blue I want navy thank you very much.  Why are they so hard to find?!

After a busy day of shopping and baking yesterday I am looking forward to a lazy day today.  I have nothing planned but to catch up on some blog reading, eat and watch a bit of tv... that's what Sundays were made for!

Food, glorious food

I woke up today deciding that I want to make macaroons! I have been in awe of the ones on the pink whisk and decided that I needed to go get a food processor and give it a go.  They were tricky.  I found piping them the hardest bit as the mixture is way more liquid than buttercream and hard to control!  I ended up with loads of different sizes but I guess consistency comes with practice.  I also decided that I didn't have time to faff around piping the buttercream in little dots so just did a big circle and although they don't look as cute I am still pretty pleased with them.  I made the raspberry and white chocolate ones and they are divine!  I definitely want to try the chocolate orange ones too.

Ready to start!

Mixing the almonds & icing sugar (takes ages & is so noisy!)

whisking the egg whites and caster sugar

adding the food colouring

pipe them and leave for 30 minutes (these were the most uniform ones!)

white chocolate buttercream

making the raspberry sauce

fresh out of the oven and paired up ready to fill

Piped on the buttercream and spooned on some raspberry sauce

The finished product, not bad if I do say so myself

Yummy!!

Once these were done I decided to make a pizza (following the recipe that the lovely Rani posted) Rani didn't say how hard work kneeding the dough was!  I had to get the boyfriend involved until we had something resembling a pizza base.  We chose chicken and sweetcorn for the topping and I added some Nandos sauce to the tomato base to give it a little kick.  The resulting pizza was amazing although next time I definitely want a thinner base.  Thank you for the recipe Rani :)

Whilst out shopping for a food processor today I called into the Apple store and bought Snow Leopard as I just can't wait til the summer to try out the Mac App store.  I am going to buy a new laptop when Lion finally comes out but decided that £26 needed to be spent to keep me happy til then.  Sooooo recommendations on which apps to buy please.  I have office for mac anyway so would really be looking something for photo editing and anything else that you think is amazing.

Tea Party

Dress: New Look

I went to see Black Swan yesterday and well, I am just not sure I liked it!  Yes it was beautiful and Natalie Portman was breathtaking but I got a bit bored to be honest.  I did a bit of shopping yesterday and picked up this pretty little New Look tea dress, the colours are gorgeous.  I really don't like how low cut tea dresses are though so this will never be worn without something underneath to preserve my modesty.  I also got another New Look chunky knit cardigan and I found some tan brogues in Primark...

exactly what I was looking for and only £8! What a bargain.  I picked up two pairs so they will last all summer and the same style in black.  I have a little wishlist for you again today, I check my favourite online stores every morning to see what has arrived over night and today I was greated by this little beauty from Miss Selfridge:

I really love how they have styled it and also want a pair of these beautiful wedges, if only I could drive in them!!

Have you entered the asos.com competition yet?  You have until midday today to register on their facebook page and add £500 of goods to your basket.  If 25,000 people do this then five lucky customers will win their basket, fingers crossed one of them will be me!

Wish upon a star

Dress: Topshop

Thank you for all of your Birthday wishes yesterday.  I had a lovely day (albeit at work) and a great evening spent laughing and eating too much with friends.  I now have a couple of work free days and I am so excited!  I am going to do a spot of shopping today, have a Nandos for lunch, the boyf is cooking me dinner and then we are going to see Black Swan.  Phew.  Can't wait!

My Topshop dress arrived and I wore it out for dinner last night, it's really pretty.  A bit on the short side though!  I noticed that it has sold out on the web site but if you can find one I really recommend it.  I tried to take a photo of my bracelet on but it's not very good.  The bracelet is so dainty and cute and unfortunately I have man hands!

I really want a pair of tan brogues but just cannot find any I like :(  I like my brogues to be a bit girly and all the ones I have seen are too masculine for me, any recommendations?  I also want these for nights out, they will look great with all the dresses I have worn with tan belts recently.
