Pink Fever

I have taken my beloved Models Own Bronze Rage off for five minutes to share with you the other two polishes I purchased.  (They are still on 3 for 2 in Boots by the way!)

First up is Pink Fever.  This was difficult to photograph, it's a vivid pink with a purply sheen and subtle shimmer.  It's really beautiful.  Makes me want to get my toes out for the first time this year (I'm not going to, its still bloody freezing!)  This polish was thinner than the other Models Own colours that I own and required three coats to build up the colour.  I loved the intensity of it, a definite colour pop to any outfit.

The other colour I purchased is Utopia.  I had read that this is a really light grey but I just don't see any grey in it personally.  It's a very pale milky pink/lilac colour and it is lush!  It took two coats to achieve the coverage shown below, very impressive for such a pale colour.  This would work so well as the base for some leopard print nail art...

I picked up this little gem from the New Look website when they were offering 20% off plus free delivery.  I seem to be building up a collection of dresses that go well with this cardigan meaning I get to wear it more often, I think the colouring really compliments my skin tone.  Makes me look rosy rather than my usual washed out colour!

Dress: New Look
Cardigan: Mango

I am so glad the weekend is here.  I am planning a spot of lunch today with the boyf followed by me dragging him around a few shops.  I'm going for a few fizzy pops with the girls tonight - best get thinking about what on earth I am going to wear!  What are you guys upto? Hope you all have a fun packed day planned :)

  17. Ooo i love Utopia. I am going to ahve to get that on my lunch break!

I got 'concrete mixer' the other day which is similar but more of a grey shade. I did a review of that on my blog and I love it but think Utopia might trump it!

Love your blog and reviews!! You share my obsession for New Look dresses.

  18. I've got the second Models Own polish you posted, and love it. It's a neutral colour that goes with everything, and not as dull as the browns etc. Also love your dress, seems everyone is picking up some bargains from New Look at the moment!
