Leopard Tip Nail Tutorial

After seeing both Rani and Lucy's leopard nail tips I had to give it a go, makes a nice change from my usual all over leopard print nail.  I thought I would do a little tutorial to show that they really are easy to do.  Standard leopard nails are less fiddly though.  Please excuse my slightly stained nail tips!

Start with a coat of basecoat

Once dry stick the stickers to the tips of your nails

Paint the bulk of your nail with your main colour, I used Models Own Top Turquoise and applied two coats

Wait.  Very important.  Make sure the polish is completely dry

Peel off the nail stickers carefully

I painted my tips with Models Own Sophie's Pink.  I did this free hand and again applied two coats

I then coated the whole nail with a good coat of Seche Vite topcoat.  This stuff is amazing.  You need to use a fairly thick coat but it self levels and fills in any bumps or grooves so once you've used it you will no longer see the join between the two colours, it's magical!

I then used Models Own Nail Art Pen in black and Top Turquoise to create a leopard pattern on the pink tips - its easy, honest!

 Voila finished leopard tipped nails

If you give this a go please let me know, I would love to see your creations :)

  4. I love leopard tips! I do mine slightly different to you though - I paint my whole nail and then add the stickers so I have a guide for the tips. Your way is probably better though because I always end up ruining the base colour!
I really love Top Turquoise with any shade of pink, they so good together xx
