Grey and Boring?

Hello my lovelies.  Today I am heading off up to Leeds for an early meeting so if you are reading this not long after it's been published think of me bombing up the M1 and longing for my bed!

I finally bought this gorgeous Oasis dress after looking at it longingly since this post back in December!  It went into the sale last week so I snapped it up for just £35.  It's perfect for when I need to dress smarter for work (and wear a longer length!)  When I am in my office I wear whatever I fancy but sometimes needs must, I'm just thankful that I don't ever have to wear suits.  It arrived yesterday so I thought I would take some snaps to share with you as I tried it on.  Perfect for today's meeting :)

Dress: Oasis

Do you have a uniform at work or does anything go?  Do you buy separate work wear?  I'm so glad I can mostly wear whatever I want.

Oh and in answer to Hannahs question I have WAY more dresses than nail polishes.  I guess I usually buy a couple a week and must have close to 500 dresses although I only wear a fraction and can't even fit into some of them... :(

  3. Oh my god I thought my dress wardrobe was a bit excessive with 80+ dresses. Wow 500, what I would give to have a rummage in your wardrobe!
Love the grey dress, looks very smart for a meeting!

  4. wow, that's a dress-dedication right there!
I actually love grey, so I think this outfit is gorgeous, and you're so lucky to have a bit of free reign at work - i have to wear all black and trust me....that is definitely not my friend! x

  6. I have hundreds of dresses too and our house is just full of them; I have them hanging on doors, walls, windows, everywhere! The boy is very supportive luckily and as he has an study for his drums and computers doesn't mind me taking over the house!

I am lucky and can wear pretty dresses to work every day; I have to be careful with cleavage and length as I am a teacher but I tend to dress up everyday as it makes me feel better!

  7. I'm lucky that I can wear what I like to work so I always wear a dress and make an effort. I find it difficult when I go out to make it look like I've made an effort because I always wear a dress it doesn't look any different :( xx

  10. You're so lucky you can wear whatever you want to work - I have a uniform so I hardly ever get to wear actualy clothes!

  12. Where on earth do you keep them all?!? Love that dress. I work in a legal office and, although I push the envelope a bit with what I wear, it has to be fairly smart. Much to my chagrin! x

  15. Wow thats a lot of dresses! I wish I could have that many! your so lucky being able to wear what you like I have to wear... (it needed a pause because its so awful) a SUIT every single day!

We even get an email as it starts to get warmer about skirt length and necklines to remind us that we are in an office and they need to be appropriate. People have acutally been called in about their clevage and skirt length! Bring me back to 2011!!! xoxo

  17. 500 dresses? jesus WEPT. do a wardrobe post!! how do you store them all? haha i thought i had loads! HA as for your uniform q - the main reason i've just left my job is because of what they deem appropriate is basically nothing i own. and because it was a shitty temp thing anyway i didn't want to splash out on a trouser suit for no reason. URGH. i hope i end up in a job where i can where anything! x

  19. I really like that grey dress!

I'm SUPPOSED to wear a polo shirt with our department logo on, but I rarely wear it cos it's horrible and fits badly. I just wear trousers and a plain top, usually. I wish I could wear dresses and heels to work but I have to crawl on/under desks and stuff so it wouldn't be practical! xx

  21. wow that is A LOT of dresses! And also a few a week? How much money do you spend on dresses? I can only dream of being able to buy a few new dresses a week! You should have a blog sale Sarah :) For work I started off dressing quite conservatively but now I try to dress more quirky and colourful. The only rule we have to follow is no jeans and no trainers which isn't hard for me. Oh and also nothing obscenely short.
