Flirty Fifties Frock

When an email dropped into my inbox last weekend telling me that Dorothy Perkins had upto 30% off all dresses I knew I needed to check it out!  Last Friday I shared a 20% off all dresses discount code (DPGLAM20 if your interested, valid til the end of March) so I thought I would have a little check and see if it still worked on the discount dresses, and it did! RESULT!! My apologies if you follow me on twitter and ended up buying a few dresses, I know I am a bad influence but at least they were cheap hey!

I bought three dresses, the one I wore on Friday again to take back on the higher valued receipt, a white one which you will no doubt see on here soon and this one:

Lucy actually saw this dress on her trip to London last week and sent me a tweet saying it would be perfect for me and I think she is right!  It's a lovely flirty fifties style frock which nips me in at the waist and the length is perfect for when I need to attend meetings.  I have had to alter the straps so it sits on my waist but other than that it's ace.  I always feel the need to wear red with monotone outfits, other colours just don't work as well in my opinion.
(Charlotte, following on from your tweet yesterday, mine doesn't bunch but I do have a big crease I need to iron out of it!)

I can't believe it's Thursday already! This week has flown by.  Is anyone doing anything for Comic Relief?  I wanted to bake some cakes but the temptation to eat them myself is just too great so I will end up adding to the collection buckets in Sainsburys.  We don't do fancy dress at work but I do normally wear red and don a silly nose...

  1. the dress looks amazing, very spring like and pretty. I could never have anything white because I would get tea or make up on it. I bought 2 dresses with the code and I love both of them, thanks :)
We have to wear red to work on Friday but I'm doing a St Patricks Day display in work today, I've made bunting and everything!
