Pretty in pink

Yay!  It's Friday and I have certainly got that Friday feeling.  Thanks to Lily I am going to be having a zinger tower burger for lunch today and it's Gemma fault that I am having a Chinese for dinner.  I accept no responsibility for either :) What have you guys got planned for this weekend?  I am hoping for a nice quiet weekend and want to do a bit of reading and some baking.  I am going to see The Kings Speech on Saturday with friends.  I hope I like it more than Black Swan.

Dress: Primark
Cardigan: Mango

I bought this dress on one of my visits to Primark last week for a whole £9.  £9, can you believe it?!  I love paisley and it doesn't automatically scream PRIMARK to me like so many of their clothes do.  It's got adjustable straps too which means I don't need to wear a dress underneath it as I can just make the straps shorter.  I really like this cardigan with it, think it makes it all pretty and pink in a not too girly way.

I am not sure about it having two layers though, dont really like ra-ra style skirts but I think it may be a bit too short if I cut off the bottom layer, what do you guys think?  Does it look better with or without the bottom layer?

The brooch I am wearing I made from a ring that I picked up in Primark for a couple of pounds.  I simply pulled the back off and glue gunned a brooch back to it and voila! The cameo is so pretty.  It's actually quite hard to find nice brooches at the moment, I've been looking for a few months and have only found a couple I like.  I do like this accessorize one but havent been able to find it in store yet.

Happy Friday everyone xx

  4. haha chinese nom nom nom! go for it, it's Friday :)
There were loads of amazing dresses in Primark when I went on Sunday, I was so impressed. I bought a navy and beige striped one with flowers all over with gold buttons, similar shape to that one. I didn't even think of turning a ring into a brooch, it doesn't matter if it goes wrong if it only cost a few pounds.
I have to read your blog before I go to work everyday now along with Charlenes, Rani and Rai's, you're all getting my up earlier :)

  8. @Meg thank you :)

@Sophie it is lovely isn't it!

@Lucy thanks chick. It's almost KFC o'clock! Have a great time in MK & I am hoping to see lots of drunken tweeting ;)

@Gem I hold you fully responsible! Hehe. That sounds like the other dress I bought, very pretty. Yeah as long as it's just a glued on back and not a moulded one it works well. Glad to be helping motivate you to get outta bed!

@Alison thank you :) I haven't decided yet, I like the length of two layers but not the shape so much.

@Aimee thank you lovely. This dress would look ace on you. You've already got a bonus entry for your little blog mention, thank you again.

@ScienceGeek most rings don't suit my man hands and just bug me. I'm hoping to find more to convert!

  20. you look lovely :-)

I went into Primark yesterday and the dress is gorgeous in real life but they only had size 14 upwards so alas I couldn't get it.

I'm not really into the ra-ra style but it works on this dress
