Toffee Sunday

 Dress: Warehouse
Cardigan: New Look
Hat: Miss Selfridge years ago
Belt: From a Dahlia dress
Tights: Topshop

Hope you've all had a great weekend, can't believe it's almost over for another week.  I was so looking forward to a lie in on Saturday and I didn't get one :(  BUT I did get to go wedding dress shopping with my sister and she managed to find her dream dress in about three hours and just two shops! Yay!!  The second shop we went into was lovely, really nice staff and not a single snotty assistant in site.  They had a dress similar to what she had in mind but as they make a lot of the dresses themselves from scratch she was able to get her dream dress custom made.  I cannot wait til her first fitting, it's going to be stunning.  I had already agreed to making her wedding cake and the zillion cupcakes they want but I found out on Saturday I am also going to be making her a button bouquet.  I'm quite crafty (I used to sell lots of jewellery on eBay a few years ago) so I am hoping it's not going to be that difficult I just need to source lots of pretty buttons for it.

I spent the rest of the weekend celebrating my boyfriends Sisters birthday on Saturday night with a gorgeous meal (at Merchants in Warwick, really recommend it) and then catching up with friends on Sunday over a roast dinner.  Weekends that involve lots of food are the best.

I love this outfit.  The bargain Warehouse sale dress is fast becoming one of my favourites as it's just so easy to wear.  I wore it out on Saturday night with my Miss Selfridge cardigan from this post  and it's just so comfy that I wanted to wear it again today.  I paired it with my toffee coloured cardigan from New Look and some matching tights from Topshop.  What do you think about the tights, too matchy or a nice change from all the black?  I'm not sure.  I have a couple of boxes of various coloured tights but these days I shy away from them favouring good old black.  It was chilly again today so I dug out an old favourite, I adore this leopard beret and I think it complimented this outfit.

One of the first things I did when I woke on Saturday was check the new arrivals on and found three dresses that were just crying out to be mine:

1 2 3 - all Topshop

Aren't they adorable?!  I couldn't decide which colour I wanted the collared dress in so as they were only £28 I ordered both!  All three dresses are only £28 so I am hoping they are still nice quality and not that really thin see thru fabric that creases easily, I don't do ironing!  They should be with me tomorrow along with a TBA dress I ordered from UO last week, I can't wait to show you them.

  1. Oh I love that cardi! I need it in my life :D And yay for your sister! How lucky are you to go wedding dress shopping, I can't wait to start mine! x

  2. Love your hat! you should try and do leopard nails to match, there are loads of demos on youtube. It's great that your sister found her perfect dress so quickly it can take forever, I would be looking around the shops for weeks finding my dress x

  3. I love your cardigan and those Topshop dresses are gorgeous! Can't wait to see them on!

The button bouquet sounds so cute! xx

I love comments, thank you xx
